Coupeville-ing Part 2

My site, Haller house, located right at the edge of downtown. Its a sort of preservation project, to turn this site into a visitor's centre. Its a real project, so we'll be going down to coupeville to pitch our proposal to the authority for midterm crit..

This is the house of one of the dean. He invited us in to view the interior of the house. The houses here emphasise a lot on framing of views cos ( i mean of cos you want to frame such beautiful coastal view..duh..)

Pictures of some of the houses at the coastal area, apparently this is a rich people kind of island, the people here are mostly educated retirees. The past 2 dean of architecture lives here too.

Finally, im blogging again...so way behind so many posts..haha..I have a lot to update...let me do one at a time..im quite sleepy now though..zzz..haha..Ok went to coupeville at whidbey island, WA for site analysis last last weekend. The place is awesome, pretty and amazing, have never seen anything so beautiful. The coast is known for its scenic view and is voted the best place to view the west coast.

Coupeville-ing

Going coupeville this weekend for site analysis, its located at whidbey island, WA, somwhere near seattle...damn ulu...have to take ferry to the island from mainland. Kind of scared and excited at the same time, dont know what to anticipate, but I heard from the tutor that its one of the best place to see the beautiful west coast. There is only one traffic light on the island and don't bother about trying to steal wifi from your neighbors cos they might not even know what it it...haha..I guess I can really experience fully the idea of living in sub-urbs ( i think rural is a more appropriate word now..haha)

Portland-ing Part 2

Went to this restaurant called Mother's Bistro for brunch at portland, heard its one of the best place to eat in town, and indeed its true! The restaurant is so full of life, the interior looks so traditional homely europeanish in a way, the waitress and boss were busy calling out names of people who made reservation. The food we ordered were so satisfying that I cant finish it..haha..two words...SO GOOD!!!
